Andrew Radgick, our Historical Representative, has changed the display below to a Royal theme to celebrate the connections the Borough has had with the Royal family. This is to coincide with the special event on Monday 7th November 7.45pm when our President, Daniela Relph, BBC Royal Correspondent and former pupil of Garth Hill College, spoke about her work 'The Royal Wedding and the Queen's Historic Year'.
As from 14th September, there is a display of artefacts left by former inhabitants of the Amen Corner area from the past 10,000 years, including flint scrapers and blades along with fragments of pottery from the Roman, medieval and later periods. It is hoped we will have the use of these premises until December and plan to change the display on a monthly basis to promote forthcoming Society events.
There is an excellent cycling map covering the whole of the Borough and the Society considers that to add footpaths to it would be a good idea. Please let us know about the paths in your area. We also hope to indicate which cul-de-sacs are 'open', that is which ones have an exit at the end for pedestrians and cyclists, and which ones are closed.

Cllr Dale Birch, Mayor of Sandhurst, and Cllr Gill Birch, Mayor of Bracknell Town, may be making history as the first husband and wife town mayors. Their first engagement as mayors was at the Coppid Beech Hotel with Tania Follett and Madeline Diver.
