the living wall of plants from Holland and the sedum roof all of which will provide ideal habitats for insects.

During a visit to the Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic as a 'patient' testing out the procedures, I realised what an incredibly impressive place it is with its state-of-the-art facilities. It has departments for cancer, renal and opthamology patients all colour coded for easy identification. We are so privileged to have the Clinic in the Borough. Read more about it here.

We can be truly proud of Wally Harris, 90, from Crown Wood who has been granted the Freedom of the City of London in recognition of his bravery in World War II. A film about his wartime experiences is to be made for The Imperial War Museum.
Peer mentors at Easthampstead Park Community School in Great Hollands have won a Diana Anti-bullying Award.

Funding has been raised by Pat Kennewell to pay for a special area with a fence and benches around a 'Story Tree' for children and families at Leppington, Birch Hill and a Story Tree has been carved for Lily Hill Park.

The plans for the HealthSpace on the Skimped Hill site have been approved.
Services will include: GP, dental, diagnostics, outpatients, x-ray, physiotherapy, podiatry, mental health, sexual health and an urgent care centre for minor injuries and ailments. The planned opening date is December 2012.
